Ricardo Correa, MD
Doctor Correa is an associate professor of Medicine, the Program Director for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism fellowship and the Director for Diversity in Graduate Medical Education at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Staff Clinician and Researcher at Phoenix V.A.M.C. and Faculty at Mayo School of Medicine, Mayo Clinic-Arizona. He is an editorial board and associate editor of more than 10 scientific peer review journals. His research focus on healthcare disparities in diabetes and obesity in Latinx population, cardiovascular outcomes in transgender population and adrenal disorders. Dr Correa is nationally recognized for his leadership in promoting underrepresented minorities in medicine. He was trained in clinical epidemiology and tropical disease and has been active teaching about COVID-19 and the vaccine.
